One of the objectives of The Arts Society is to improve young people’s access to art. We aim to support and encourage art activities for children and young people in the local area.
Last academic year, collaborative art activities were unfortunately not possible.
However, The Arts Society Dorking is looking forward to supporting local schools this year and is in communication concerning possible projects.
This year we have been active at Dorking Museum, contributing to family art and craft activities over half terms and holidays. Recently, children created peg doll Kings and Queens and had fun decorating crowns for the Platinum Jubilee.

At Half Term Autumn 2022 the activity was making a Hedgerow Home using a shoebox. Children chose and made their creature from plasticine, pipe cleaners and matchsticks provided by the Arts Society and designed a cosy space in which it could be comfortable. For photos see the entry in the Gallery
